The soundtrack is fine and k-otic is not an idiot but an esteemed contributor to the Feature Film section.
Lack of sound can mean that the media player doesn't have the appropriate audio codec. A quick look at the AVI via the GSpot application
shows that, as with some of k-otic's other uploads, the audio track is encoded in the MP2 format instead of the more common MP3 format. I assume the previous reviewer uses Windows Media Player, as I have seen it fail to play MP2 soundtracks that come bundled with XVID videos, although it can play them in MPEG-2 videos.
